I went for a walk with my friend on Saturday and started getting symptoms that same morning whilst on the walk. Headache, fatigue and fever.

We spent 2 hours together, walking a metre apart, had lunch at opposite ends of a bench and when we said goodbye, I handed her some Tupperware from my car that I'd borrowed a while ago.

We were outside the whole time.

Skip forward to Monday when I take covid test and find out now it's positive.

My friend says she was not a close contact and won't self isolate because of work and I shouldn't mention her to track and trace.

This is stressing me out...!

You’ve informed her. Track and trace can’t force her to isolate. Tell them or not, it won’t make any difference.

Thank you. That's sensible advice and has calmed my mind actually... thank you

Obviously she should be isolating though but you have enough to contend with they will quiz you in detail about your movements who you were with, when hope you feel better soon I am 7 days since testing positive and still feel ill
