So after being in close contact with a positive case, like I kissed them (😩) I’ve tested. I’ve tested because I’ve had diarrhea at the weekend. And then this headache that I just can’t shift. I feel bunged, up but not snotty. My chest feels slightly tight. Last night and this morning I needed to cough. But every mildly.

My daughter also has a fever and cold symptoms. She has also been tested.

Thoughts? I have been tested today so eagerly awaiting results so hopefully can get back to work and school.

I know it’s impossible to tell here. And only the test will confirm. But can we just speculate a bit about symptoms and stuff. Please xx

Sounds likely.

If you're still within the 14 days after contact with the positive case then even if you get a negative result you still need to continue isolating

damnthisvirusandmarriage · 01/12/2020 17:47

We were just outside the track and trace window. If I’m negative I’ll have to return to work etc.

It does sound likely, although I had similar symptoms a while ago and was negative.

Hope that your test comes back quickly.

You said you kissed a positive case so I was going by those details in your OP.

Given we are in lockdown won’t you have to still isolate anyway as no contact was allowed so presumably you live with them or they are a bubble so you all isolate regardless.

LizzieMacQueen · 01/12/2020 18:33

Sounds very likely that you've been infected. Naughty you snogging during a lockdown (jesting slightly...).

I think it depends when you last saw the person in your bubble.if you don't live together & are out with the track & trace window then with a negative test you can go back to work, as long as you are well enough to do so.
