We've been extremely carefull always wear a mask and keep our distance only go out if necessary and usually walk as we are walking distance from everything
Popped out yesterday to collect something (click and collect) then popped in to lidi ended up meeting my partners old work mate we both were wearing masks and so was she I was more than 2m away parter was 2m only chatting for mins.
Just seen her post on fb 22 hrs ago that she and her boys now have to isolate as her test came back positive. Are our chances low of catching it?

Yes your chances are low, low enough that you won’t be required to isolate. There’s still a small chance though.

She was waiting for her test results yet she was out and about in public? Am I reading that correctly? If so, she is an arsehole.

dementedpixie · 28/11/2020 15:38

Why on earth were they in a shop if they were waiting on a test result?
I would say chances are low if you had masks on, were not closer than 2m and didn't talk for an extended period of time

If her test was part of the ONS study, then she wouldn’t be required to isolate whilst waiting for the result.

GoldenOmber · 28/11/2020 15:40

Fairly low given you were both in masks, distance apart and only speaking for a few minutes. Would keep an extra eye on how you’re all feeling for next couple of weeks just in case.

(WTF was she doing in Lidl while waiting for test results?)

Livelovelife35 · 28/11/2020 15:51

She's works in a care home that during 1st lockdown kept the virus out now its over run with the virus and apparently they used to get tested once a week now its 3x a week and from what she was saying she was fine. Was shocked when I seen it on fb was like wtf really great im already a para and anxious about the virus as it is and to see that I was definitely more than 2m away and parter was too and wasn't talking long wasnt like 15 mins was about 5 just the usual how you doing etc but masks were on both us and her.
