Had a test this morning

I've been feeling a bit tired and run down with a cold the past week and then Wednesday noticed my throat was a little sore. Thursday it felt like I'd swallowed razor blades and I developed a cough through the day. Just a dry niggly cough. So I decided to book a test for today. I was lucky to get a walk in near my house. I was up coughing in the night on and off. Anyway, my throat has started to feel better this afternoon and I've barely coughed, just clearing my throat alot and still a cold. DH thought I rushed to get a test too quickly. Not overly sure what I'm asking really... Maybe how long do you wait with symptoms before deciding to test?

It doesn't matter, you'll find out in a day or 2. My colleague has just tested positive and he just had a sore throat. I'm now isolating for 2 weeks

No you’ve done the right thing, my symptoms started Wednesday and I had a bad cough then, had a test the same day and a positive result yesterday, the cough eased off a lot yesterday and is gone today.

You gad the symptoms so it was right to get the test.
