Half of class isolating

Hi so the whole of dd year are 1 bubble. They have all isolated twice now due to 1 positive case each time.

On Monday a few parents told me they had received an email to say their child had come into contact with a other positive case abs had to isolate. It came to light that only about half of the pupils had to isolate. Yet the previous 3 times we were told that all 90 kids were 1 bubble.

So the girl who had it is best friends with the girl my daughter sits next too. Plus there are 2 sets of twins on her class. 3 out of the 4 are isolating. Yet the 4th can spend time with his brother at home and still mingle with the rest of the year group. I'm autistic and I just can't seem to get my head around the different rules. Does this make sense?

I think the guidance changes from day to day and depends a lot on who you speak to at PHE. It doesn't make sense and it's not consistent.

Some schools are now sending more children home each time and others are sending less. As most cases amongst kids will be asymptomatic it's very difficult to tell whether it has much impact or not.
