Test results timeframe

Hey! How quickly are people receiving their results presently? Very worried about a family member who tested yesterday - thanks in advance xx

My last one took 39 hours

I sent my test off at 3pm Sunday and got a text at 2pm the next day (of this week)

I went for a drivethru test on a tursday (in the afternoon) and got results back on a thursday (in the morning). It was pretty quick.

Brighton 29 hours.

Most recent was test on Sunday lunchtime and results 18 hours later.

In last week:
6.30pm result just after 12 next day...
2.30... Result 9am next day
4.30pm... 6pm next day
3 over 3 days...
.... All same area but different locations.
Bigger testing locations seem faster than community ones near us at moment...

@happytoday73 stupid question but were all those tests for you or for different family members..

@Doublebubblebubble... Good God no! Thankfully none of them were me/my family ....

All cases at workplace in t3 area... Be it staff, contractor or a family member with symptoms .. If isolating for result we ask for proof of test booking and result so we can track/sort out cover/if anyone else needs to isolate etc...

Did mine on Thursday (courier picked it up at about lunchtime) and got the result on Sunday morning. It was positive, I've got three days of isolation left.

Postal test requested sunday, delivered and posted back monday, results 6am weds.

I was impressed with that.

DH's test when he had symptoms was done at 11.30am and result back 8am next morning.
Had a lateral flow test a couple of weeks ago (Liverpool) and got result back within the hour.
Am now getting tested weekly at work. Last result took just over 48 hours.
So it depends which type of test you have and where you have it but they're not taking too long now considering.
