Track and trace

My dd had her sports club last week on Thursday after school (we are in Scotland, lockdown didn’t start until Friday 6pm). One of the kids in her sports club tested positive for covid at the weekend but we haven’t been contacted by track and trace? Should we isolate or not? I would have thought yes but given we haven’t been contacted maybe they don’t seem the risk to be enough?

Depends what day they got symptoms. Test and Protect will contact those in close contact in the 48 hours before symptoms. If they were outdoors then risk is reduced further

I don’t know, apparently the child didn’t have any symptoms at the time of the test. I’m just very confused about it all. I would have thought if they were in contact with each other and they were positive they would have to isolate Confused

Track and trace work to strict criteria so will have spoken to covid positive person and likely the coach to identify who meets these. If you've not been contacted you dont need to isolate.

I used to work for contact tracing. It really depends on the activity. If its outside, no changing rooms and strict SD we would not ask others to isolate.
