A positive Christmas thread

I am seeing a lot of negativity around the Christmas news. People not happy about others mixing, people not happy with the amount of households and wanting more. I respect their views but I thought I would start a positive thread for those who are happy with the news and will still take care!

I for one am happy, after a rubbish year it will be nice to spend it with my parents and my sibling and their partner. We will be careful and make sure not to mix if anyone poorly. I am not planning on seeing any other households although would normally see a lot more! I'm grateful that they are allowing 3 households and understand the stress with not having more households but they have to draw a line.

If you're feeling positive about it, please share :D

You'll get flamed OP but im with you!

We are 3 households getting together. My retired mum, no school age children between me and my sister and only one worker who doesn't work from home in a fairly low risk job. Any symptoms from anyone and they won't be coming.

We will take the risk and enjoy a bit of normality!

I'm actually not as scared for Jan as everyone else on here seems to be... schools are out, many workplaces closed over Xmas and alot of people still dont feel safe doing Xmas with family so could counter act the Xmas bubbling. Just my opinion though I could be totally wrong.

No, please don't! It's bad enough finding we personally can't do anything we couldn't have done under lockdown rules, without seeing a topic heading for people who are going to have a great Christmas.

I just wanted a bit of positivity. I'm sorry you're not able to do what you had hoped @MereDintofPandiculation

@secretllama I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and all stay safe :)

I'm happy today. I think I might just be able to see my parents and one of my sister's. Christmas day at home as usual and then a flying visit to them.

Hugosmugo · 25/11/2020 14:28

That's great news @TheGreatWave I'm sure it will be wonderful

Totally agree. I'm looking forward to spending a nice few days with dm and the in-laws, after such an awful year. I don't get the negativity.
