Waiting for my 2 year olds results from test yesterday. She’s had her second night of fever and at one point last night it was 39.5. She was so so hot. I’m giving her calpol and nurofen, but at what point is fever too high and a Dr should be called?
Has anyone else’s child had fever this high and been covid positive?

Children can easily develop very high temperatures as the part of the brain which controls temperature is not fully developed. When I oldest girl was a toddler this was a normal temperature for her.

If the temperature isn’t coming done after paracetamol and nurofen then I would seek medical help
