Have survived this long without needing to book a test but DP started with symptoms last night which persist this morning and has just booked a test for 9am. How long will it be before the result come through?

Home test last week took 2.5 days from ordering test to getting results (much quicker than I was expecting) . My drive through a couple of weeks ago took 2.5 days from test to results.

Following this as I'm curious, my daughter had a test last night at 6pm in Dorset. Fingers crossed she doesnt have to miss too much school if its negative.

Ds2 and I had tests last Wednesday at 10am and results came back 6am and 8am the next day. Much to ds1 and dh’s annoyance as it meant they were able to go to school/work 😂

YerAWizardHarry · 23/11/2020 09:52

Sent a home test away on Thursday afternoon and got results 7pm on Saturday evening

calllaaalllaaammma · 23/11/2020 09:56

OH had a test on 25 October and got the positive result email within 4 hours. He was in hospital last week for something not Covid related and had another test but the results took 36 hours. East Midlands

CastIron · 23/11/2020 10:38

Almost four days last week for a drive through test.

LemonTT · 23/11/2020 10:40

Just within 48 hours you minutes.

middleager · 23/11/2020 11:29

For those of you like us who did a drive through, did you have to administer the test yourselves? We did, but I'd previously assumed somebody would do this, based on footage of testers at drive throughs on the news.

We get a choice. Anyone over 12 can have assistance if wanted.

A couple of weeks ago in the SE - drive-through test 10am Monday, (negative) results 2pm Tuesday. So 28 hours. Am hearing similar reports of just over 24 hours around here.

LividLaughLurve · 23/11/2020 15:33

My mum is now on 53 hours and counting (nw drive thru).

unchienandalusia · 23/11/2020 15:36

Ours took 36 hours. Last week. South east.

JustAnotherMumTho · 23/11/2020 15:51

About 36 hours for DS's results this weekend.

Saladd0dger · 23/11/2020 15:56

Tested DD4 at Swindon, 11am today. Hope it’s not to long

micc · 23/11/2020 17:19

I got my daughters results back at 3pm, so we waited 21 hours.

ICanoeCanYou · 23/11/2020 17:31

@Saladd0dger you had your test almost the same time as ours. We are in the East. Will be interesting to see when the results come through.
