hi everyone my mum started feeling sick a couple of days ago(headache, runny nose, watery eyes) and today she woke up with a loss of taste and smell (she says she can only taste sweetness) and obviously went to get a test for herself and my dad. They are both 40 years old and have no health conditions however my mum has arthritis and she smokes. I cant help but worry my anxiety is going crazy because they are part of my support bubble and last time we had contact was on wednesday (2 days before symptoms started) i am very worried about how they will go through with this IF they test positive and im scared to death about my kids (son is 2 in jan and daughtet turned 6) and me catching it. We have tried out best to be as careful as we can because my father in law passed away due to covid in april at 48 years old.
please share some experiences if you, your kids parents or anyone you know had with covid because the only experience we have unfortunately ended with death Sad

Me and my son have had it, I am 34 extremely unfit and overweight, I had blocked sinuses and loss of taste and smell (still not returned) my son is 7 and had basically a cold but a high temp one night.

I work in a care setting with vulnerable people who have tested positive and a lot of staff members who have contracted it and touch wood they have all had little to no symptoms, with a few experiencing cold/flu symptoms.

If you saw them 48 hours before symptoms it should be very low risk of them even being contagious at that point, IF they have it at all

I'm so sorry about your FIL Flowers, you will be even more worried as this bereavement was recent.

All you can do is focus on your sanity/worry until the result comes. You can't control anything right now.

I have started doing meditation at times when I feel I am crawling the wall and it does help. It fixes nothing, but stops me freaking out.

My DH had it (confirmed) and was very mildly affected.
