What do you think about the idea of a freedom pass?

It's ridiculous and completely unnecessary. People who are seeing it as a means to an end are very naive or ignorant.

@User158340

I don't get this.

Offer the vaccine to the old and/or vulnerable as a priority (and then offer it to everyone else after that).

Once the old and vulnerable are vaccinated we need to get back to normal.

You'd think wouldn't you? But Oh No they still want to be controlled and don't want their freedom and liberties back - literally begging the Government to keep them. How they must be laughing at us.

I am alarmed at the amount of money being wasted on this when it would achieve nothing. Tests should be used for key workers, people getting on planes and school children in areas with high case numbers plus those with symptoms. I particularly dislike the headline that implies we can return to normal with a freedom pass when the idea of being tested twice a week is nothing like a return to normal.

I can't see how they could possibly police it. Spot checks in the frozen aisle at Tesco to nab those who haven't been tested since last Weds week? Just another daft idea that hasn't been thought through.
