My daughters nursery are closing due to 2 positive tests & believe my daughter has to isolate for 2 weeks but the rest of family don’t
I’m currently working from home (3 weeks new job) any tips advice to get through this please?

How old is your daughter? Just had 2 weeks isolating with a 2 year old (as older ds had covid). Not going to lie, wasn't easy! I did bits of work during naps and snack time. Also did shifts with dh, any chance your partner can work from home/take a few days so you can split it? If not screen time, order craft stuff from amazon and can you do work in evening when your daughter is asleep. Good luck, you have my sympathy but you will get through it and it'll go quicker than you think

@Littlebelina
She's 3 almost 3.5
Did you set up play stations etc or just wing it each day with toys
Amazon it is 😂

Winged it! Had her big brother and Dad at home which helped. At 3.5 will your dd sit and watch a film? Perhaps get disney+ as a treat (think screentime rules need to be forgotten about when self isolating). We also tried to get out in garden as much as possible. Will be glad when this winter is over as suspect we might have to isolate again at some point!

The nursery is closed for 2wks but if your daughter wasn’t in close contact with the case then she doesn’t need to isolate. If she was a close contact then she has to isolate for 14days but no one else in your household does. Although she can’t be left alone obviously you can take turns looking after her x

Same position here! DS (3) nursery's room is closed for 2 weeks from tomorrow due to a +ve case in his class.

I'm working from home too. Still trying to get my head round how I'm going to do this for 2 weeks 🤨🤨

Same here although we had a day at the end of last week too. DD is 4 and a close contact so isolation for her. We managed the last lockdown with her and DD6 home so I'm thinking this can't be too bad,

We resort to lots of TV/tablet times when we have meetings (both of us working from home). Colouring, crafts, play doh, kinetic sand set up in the dining room with laptop on the table. Oh and snack, snacks and more snacks.

@Hannsmum how you getting on?

Thanks everyone hasn't been as bad as I imagined & if she wants to watch peppa pig so be it!
She's done lots of painting by my desk, got some old toys out, drawings & tea party .... oh & bit of screen time 🤷‍♀️
