Flu jab this yer

User158340 · 21/11/2020 10:26

Did anyone have symptoms after having it this year?

I felt a bit dodgy for a couple of days, some headaches and nausea and some muscle aches (a bad back) and fine now. Wouldn't normally even notice symptoms at all.

I put it down to lowered immune system after not really going anywhere for months.

No, nothing at all.

ssd · 21/11/2020 10:30

I had nausea for a couple of days. Am fine now. It did say nausea was a side effect..

kimlo · 21/11/2020 10:31

I had a sore arm.

Northernlass99 · 21/11/2020 10:32

No none. Not even a sore arm this time.

lockdownconfused · 21/11/2020 10:33

I had a sore arm for a couple of days that's all

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 21/11/2020 10:37

I felt a bit nauseous on & off for a few days & wiped out. I feel permanently bloody exhausted, but this made me want to actually sleep.

My arm didn't hurt.

AppleKatie · 21/11/2020 10:39

Mildly sore arm nothing else. Never have had tbh.

Angel2702 · 21/11/2020 10:40

No very mild sore arm on the day but by the following morning I couldn’t even see when the injection site was. Felt completely fine.

Yeah I was the same. Mostly just the day after having it, as was okay the day I took it.

Wondered if it was the vaccine or i'd picked something up in the surgery.

Which one did you have? I had the sanofi and had no symptoms.

DumplingsAndStew · 21/11/2020 10:53

I had a thread on this some weeks back to help me decide whether to take it or not, as I often have debilitating side effects.

Thanks to everyone's posts, I decided to have it, and happy to report I had only a sore arm that came on after a few days and lasted about a week until the swelling went down.

OverTheRainbow88 · 21/11/2020 11:09

I felt ridiculously anxious for about 3 days and then back to normal... was very strange

Cornettoninja · 21/11/2020 12:22

I felt a bit rough the same night, like a cold coming on with a headache, but was fine the next morning.

First time I’ve ever had any side effects (apart from a vaguely sore arm) but then maybe I was just paying more attention this year.

livingbreathingcoffee · 21/11/2020 12:25

Very mild sore arm a couple of days later. It's not a live virus so not really possible for it to give you cold/flu symptoms.

Castiel07 · 21/11/2020 12:40

I had just a sore arm for a couple of days, my eldest who is nearly 20 felt a bit under the weather after his.

Ellapaella · 21/11/2020 12:55

I had it three days ago and feel absolutely fine. A few colleagues said their arms were sore afterwards but mine is fine.

Littlebelina · 21/11/2020 12:57

Nothing this year, not even the sore arm

Depends how you’re defining cold/flu symptoms I suppose but it’s included in the medication patient pamphlet.

Just because it’s not live doesn’t mean your immune system doesn’t have a response. It’s meant to.

Torvean32 · 21/11/2020 13:18

I've never had a symptom from any Flu vaccine. I used to get them free from work, so I've had a lot.

One vaccine i got to travel to Mexico gave me the most dead arm ever. I couldnt raise it for about 24 hours.

OpheliasCrayon · 21/11/2020 14:11

No nothing. I have one every year and some years have been worse than others. This one has been fine. The Hep B booster jab I just had for work though is another matter!!!! Ugh!

Sitdowncupoftea · 21/11/2020 15:21

No this year i had no symptoms from flu jab and I have low immune system.

Deelish75 · 21/11/2020 15:23

Mildly sore arm when I lifted it above my head but apart from that I’ve felt fine. DP was fine too.

Cecilia2016 · 21/11/2020 15:23

This year I have been fine except sore arm for few days and that was it.

LemonTT · 21/11/2020 15:36
