Nursery child on self-isolation

My 17 months old DS has been on self isolation for two weeks coz someone (not sure another child or a staff member) was Covid-positive. He is going back to nursery next week.
Just wondering how working people get paid when they have to look after self-isolating toddler. Do you use your annual leave? What if yoru DC is required to self-isolated for more days (in total) than your annual leave allowance?

Depends on what their workplace says. I’ve seen where there are 2 parents, that each is doing 1 week’s holiday leave. It’s a bigger problem for larger families with more than 1 child and needing to isolate each time.
