Hand hold - Positive test. Panicking

Hi guys

Had positive test on Tuesday. Symptoms first started Saturday.

I'm absolutely petrified. Today I've had this tight chest. No cough at all, and no breathing difficulties but this chest is really frightening me. I think I'm possibly having anxiety attacks too.

For any other positives, did they have a similar feeling? I just need some reassurance 😞 feel so pathetic.

OP, couldn't just read and run.
I am fairly certain I had Covid late Feb/early March, but it was before testing, so no, I haven't had a positive test.
But I too had what you are experiencing now.
Please try and stay calm - easier said than done, I know.
Feeling anxious can cause similar symptoms, panic attacks are scary I know.
I just want to let you know that I was fine, and it passed.
I hope the same for you.
(I'm in my late fifties btw, and fully recovered).
Take care Flowers

Look at the window(/door/TV/mirror it doesn’t matter as long as it’s square-ish). As you take a deep breath in trace the outline of the left side starting from the bottom. Hold that breath as your eyes trace the top of the window. Don’t go too fast. Breathe out as your eyes trace down the left side, hold the absence of breath while your eyes trace the bottom edge. Repeat.

Statistically you’re almost certainly going to be fine OP. Think about all the other viruses youve had in the last 5 years. Last time you felt like this you probably still went to work, felt a little better as the day went on and as you got stuck in to what you were doing that day. You might have had a few early nights, eaten a bit more rubbish in front of the TV, had a few more baths than usual.

The news wants us to panic because it keeps us consuming more news but statistically you will be fine. You might want to try guided meditation on YouTube, I like body scans but there’s loads of different types.
