Open Water Swimming. Allowed?

I have searched online to see if swimming outdoors is allowed during the current lockdown but can't find anything definite.
To those who swim outdoors, have you continued to do so? In pairs?
Does it come under excercise,?

Most outdoor things are allowed except contact sports

It will be allowed. It's probably safer to go with a friend, as long as you socially distance.
Outdoor transmission is, I believe, thought to be very low.

In Wales it was specifically forbidden by the lockdown guidelines but I understand that isn’t the case in England.
