When will we know if lockdown will be lifted?

When are the government going to make a definitive decision on whether lockdown will be lifted on 2nd December? I have a business to run and the lack of certainty is crippling.

I think we'll start to get an idea mid/end of next week.

When they know how well it is working and whether it can be lifted and back into the Tier system or extended. Probably at the end of November.

I had a cry this morning. We survived the first lockdown (by the skin of our teeth) but this second one has really put the boot in.

Yep, agreed, it's totally, totally rubbish. The numbers are still horrific so I wouldn't be too hopeful. I wonder if they might open the shops, but I think 'household mixing' will still be very limited.

I have a vested interest at DH works in the hospitality supply chain, so keen but not hopeful to know what they're going to do there.

All they keep harping on about is 'saving Christmas.' I'm really not bothered about saving bloody Christmas, I'd far prefer that people could get their businesses going again rather than be able to go round to people's houses.

I've been wondering this as well, I don't think we'll know until the end of November. Like PP said above the number are still looking very bad, so I don't see how we can come out yet? But who knows

It all feels very gloomy tbh, I think the weather this time round hasn't helped, at least in the spring lockdown we had sunshine..

Where in the country are you? Hospital numbers in the North West aren't good so I very much doubt, if we come out of lockdown at all, that the NW will loosen restrictions. Hopefully numbers are better in the rest of the country, but I don't get to see them!
