I'll try and keep this brief
Two weeks ago felt unwell high temp 38.5 got a Covid test negative
Went back to work as no temp but developed a cough
Spoke to Gp who treated me for a chest infection- finished antibiotics last Thursday.
On Saturday just gone I again had a temp abs coughing no better another test this time positive
The cough is no better sometimes at night I feel wheezy bring up up yellow sputum not breathless
Have checked 02 levels 94-96
No temperature.
Is this the normal progression of things?
Don't want to develop pneumonia

We are not supposed to post as doctors (even if we are).

Give your surgery a call. Your doctor could discuss with you whether you need more or different antibiotics.

It might be you get a phone call at first or instead of an appointment. Especially if you haven't been examined, you could ask whether you could have a sputum pot & cough up a sample that can be sent off to be cultured. Hopefully, they would be able to grow the bug, if you have an ongoing bacterial infection. That would give them a better chance of getting the right antibiotic.

They don't always do this, but you could ask!

Hope you feel well soon!

By the way, the O2 levels do sound low. Why not give them a call this morning?

Yes I will Thankyou for your advice.
It's so difficult to know if this is just some thing to wait out or if some kind of intervention is needed.
I'm the don't make a fuss type !!
