Hi All,
My husband has been self isolating for 8 days. Would it be safe to be around each other now? We have been keeping separate but it is difficult.
Thanks

How symptomatic is he? 8 days was when I was at my worst so there is no way I was safe to be around but if he's basically better then I'd think it's fine. If he still has a few symptoms I'd give it another 5 days.

He has got over his fever but has loss of taste and smell still and has developed cold like symptoms, which I am unsure whether are virus related? Stuffy nose, sneezing? Thanks

Stuffy nose and sneezing can definitely be COVID. I'd give it another few days.

No, would only have said yes if it was day 8 and showed no symptoms. He'd be most contagious with symptoms

Here in france isolation is for 7 days after the start of symptoms and they trace back 48 hours before the start of symptoms so that is the period they deem someone to be contagious if that helps.
