If you have a primary age child, have you caught covid from them bringing it home from school?

No

PudseyPatch · 14/11/2020 07:41

Covid: Children more likely to be infected in second wave:

No, not me personally, but it sounds like children are driving this quite a bit 😬

SocialBees · 14/11/2020 07:45

No. Not from my secondary age children either.

MarshaBradyo · 14/11/2020 07:46

No

Not secondary either

cliffdiver · 14/11/2020 07:56

Possibly.

But I most likely caught it from my school (I'm a teacher).

Understandingnotignorance · 14/11/2020 20:51

Everything I've seemed to read seems to be centred around higher transmission from secondary school children than primary. Don't know if it isn't as high or it just isn't reported.

No but I haven’t caught it from my secondary school child either

starrynight19 · 14/11/2020 20:54

Not from primary but an adult in my house caught it from a secondary student.
Same for my friend , again secondary.

EcoCustard · 14/11/2020 20:55

No, not yet. Several parents from dc’s class friends have tested positive this week. Children are now isolating. Several kids off sick this week but non with the ‘3’ government listed symptoms.

Doublechins · 14/11/2020 20:57

No. 3 of their class teachers have had it so two of them have had to isolate but none of us including the DC have had symptoms

onedayinthefuture · 14/11/2020 21:33

Any year groups having to close down in the schools I know are year 6 only in primary and secondary schools.

Numberblock7 · 14/11/2020 21:37

Not as far as I know, but this is a low risk area anyway, I don’t know anyone who’s had a confirmed case. School said on Friday no confirmed cases in school yet. I was suspiciously ill in March but that could have come from anywhere.

Understandingnotignorance · 14/11/2020 22:47

We have had several bubbles closing in both lower and upper primary but don't hear anything after about whether other children who are off isolating as a result have then gone on to catch it and transmitted it to the rest of their household.

No and we haven't had any children with it in our school.
