Could this be long COVID?

I had what might have been COVID (was all the symptoms) very early on. I never had a test. Since spring I’ve been having periods of breathlessness and wheezing which seems worse in the evening. I feel like I can’t get a full breath and need to go to the door to get more oxygen.

I walked up the stairs tonight and felt very breathless, gasping for air and felt shaky for a good 30 minutes. Felt better after a lie down. It doesn’t make sense as I went on a hike yesterday, up a hill and felt fine but today a single flight of stairs did me in for half an hour? Recently went to the drs about it had some blood tests, blood pressure taken and all fine.

Just seems really weird, could this be long COVID?

I'm not sure there's one definition of long-covid tbh.

One thing about COVID though, is that you can get reoccurring bouts of symptoms for months after the initial disease. What you describe sounds like a good fit for that. I guess if you have these frequently enough then that is long COVID.

I am being seen at the COVID recovery clinic (hopefully to be discharged shortly). For the first 4 months I had symptoms all day every day. Then I started to get short periods of feeling normal and now (7 months on) I feel normal most of the time with only and hour or two of v mild symptoms each day. Most other long haulers I know are sicker than me.
