COVID with newborn

Hey,

I have a 7 week old baby. I'm super anxious about her getting the virus! We're taking all precautions we can in terms of no ones held the baby other then mine and my partners parents. There's not much information on how it affects babies etc. I just wondered if anyone has had the virus whilst having a new born in the house or if anyone's newborn has had the virus and how did they react? Thanks x

I don't have a newborn but I remember what a worrying time it was even without COVID being around.

The NHS gives this advice:

Please don’t let this spoil those precious first weeks. I’ve got an 11 week old. I just can’t worry too much as I’ve got older children in primary and secondary schools. If we get it, we get it.

But babies who have had it get it mildly from what I’ve read.
