Wrong advice from school?

A colleague of mine is waiting for a test result after having symptoms. The primary school have told him that the kids should continue to go to school unless he gets a positive test result. This isn’t the advice on the NHS/Gov website, but I know that schools get advice from PHE - is this the advice other people/schools have had?

The rest of the household should isolate until results come back.

Our primary school told us not to send to school until household test results were back last week. They set work remotely instead

That’s what I thought. But the school definitely told him otherwise.
