Test and Trace saying he doesn’t need a test?

My brothers wife had a positive test for Covid. Now he is coughing and has a high temp.
Test and Trace have said no need for a test as it’s obviously Covid.

Is that classed now as a ‘confirmed case’?

Just wondering?

He should book a test so he has proof to show his work.

I doubt it would be counted as a confirmed case if there is no actual test result. Surely he should get tested in case there are people that may have been in contact with him and not his wife

What that sounds insane you have symptoms you get a test . How can it possibly by confirmed unless he has a test ?
This track and trace system is odd Hmm.

It seems Covid, test &trace want to reduce their work because another positive test means to go through th exercise again. Your brother can still book the test if he needs to isolate longer than the initial quarantine as he might have to give a reason for his absence from the job.
I don't think your brother will be added to official no of positive cases without a test.

🤔 that’s what I thought. That it would not add to the number of confirmed cases in Wales.
Seems a bit daft to me.

I suggested he go for the test anyway, however he doesn’t need it for work, so he’s going to take the advice and not bother.
