Never ending covid temperature

Hi, I’m on day 10 and still have a temp of 38! It’s been like that since day 3. First 2 days a lot higher. Otherwise just feel tired and slight tight cough. So fed up with the temp not dropping and it also means I can’t leave isolation apparently. Am I going to be stuck like this indefinitely?!

Could you have another infection on top of Covid?

I was also wondering if you could have another infection?

Is it consistently high or does it spike at certain times of the day/night?

It will go away but you need to rest and hydrate. Dehydration will spike the fever for longer.

I had this back in March, the temp lasted 14 days and I felt fine other than a slight tightness in my chest. I couldn't get a test back then and Dr was baffled gave me some antibiotics that did nothing to shift the temp.
The temp will go but mine unfortunately developed into long Covid. Make sure you rest and drink lots of water.

Thanks everyone. I don’t think I have another infection well not that I’m aware of. My only other symptoms are just a slight tightness and mild cough atm, along with slight raised heart rate. No other pains so I’m hoping there is nothing else. I do have quite a warm body temperature generally. Normally always 37. Something rather than 36. I wondered if that would have something to do with it? I have also ordered a new cheap under tongue thermometer to check against my braun in ear one which is now 7yrs old!

I had a temp for about 12 days.

A friend of mine ran a temperature of 38 for 12 days, so hopefully you're almost done.
