Should I test?

Last night I had odd dreams, a bit like fever dreams and I feel very fatigued today and a bit achy. I had insomnia on Tuesday and broken sleep due to dreams last night so the tiredness could be that and I did some livestreamed gym classes which could explain the aches.

I am staying in anyway as I am wfh and there's nowhere to go.

I don't have a thermometer so can't check my temperature objectively but don't feel like I have a fever and have no cough or sense of smell.

A friend of mine keeps telling me to get a test but I feel like it would be waste at this point and going to test centre where there will be ill people coughing doesn't seem like wise thing for me to do. Obviously I will test if my symptoms develop.

My friend is making me feel like I am being irresponsible by not testing yet but I don't think I am and would feel like I was wasting resources. What do you think?

Your friend is a loon! Ignore and wait for actual symptoms - bad nights sleep is not one!!

You have no symptoms so why would you test? Confused
The tiredness is easily explained by a couple of nights of bad sleep and the aches by exercise.

I am glad you said that @AlexisIsMySpiritAnimal

I was beginning to feel like I was being irresponsible.

Thanks @itoldyouIwasfreaky.

I am just taking it easy today and I cancelled my exercise class for today. Obviously if I develop symptoms I will test.

My friend was making me doubt myself.

I wouldn’t! It could be worth ordering a thermometer on amazon if possible, to put your mind at rest in the future. There’s no point getting a test if you’re not symptomatic. It’s a waste of resources and false reassurance. Loads of people don’t seem to get that, including your friend it seems.

@MissBPotter I keep meaning to. We used to have one but it was old and gave readings on around 15 degrees so it's safe to say it didn't work.

I do have a food one somewhere actually so maybe I can use that.
