Back to normal by spring 2021?

I can’t remember who it was that said it but some government scientific adviser apparently said that normality is likely to resume by next Spring.

The WHO indicated it could be 2022 before we get fully back to normal, I would have thought it’ll at least be mid to late 2021.

Of course, I don’t want to undermine the scientists because they know more about this than any of us, but surely we won’t be “back to normal” by spring?

Obviously I want to be optimistic and hope that this is true, but sure after all, BJ did say social distancing would end by this November and there we have England back into full lockdown for a month so I don’t know whether to believe the government anymore.

I don’t want to get my hopes up

the WHO are looking at it from a world perspective. When people in the U.K. talk about it they mostly just mean the U.K.

Social distancing has ended for a lot of people — they’re just **choosing to ignore the guidance/rules.

I personally think it’ll be at least summer 2021 before things officially start to return to normal, it’ll take that long to get any approved vaccines out.
