DS has a cough so we got him tested today at 12. When do you reckon we will get results back? Would be great if he could go back to nursery! especially as his cough has stopped!!

Tested dd at 11.30 on Sunday, results 11.10 on Monday. They said 24-48hrs.

JamMakingWannaBe · 10/11/2020 21:23

12.5 hrs for email. 18 hours for text. Negative results. Drive through test centre wasn't busy. South Central Scotland. I've heard similar timings from other people here but was still expecting to SI for another day at least.

spacegirl86 · 10/11/2020 21:24

Oh, and text and email came through at the same time. In fact we got two of each for some reason

larrythelizard · 10/11/2020 21:29

Oh snap @babychange12 and @aureliacecilia - 10am test for toddler DS yesterday after a temperature. SW-ish.

Really could do with an early negative result tomorrow so he can go to nursery and we can get some work done!

Last time we had to get him tested it took 43 hrs...unsure how late/early the labs work though.!

ChristmasinJune · 10/11/2020 21:45

I accidentally got a symptomatic test rather than an asymptomatic test (joined the wrong queue. Was told the wait was 72 hours. We're on 4 days with no sign now....

ShinyGreenElephant · 10/11/2020 21:48

Around 30 hours for all of ours, drive through or home tests

babychange12 · 11/11/2020 06:51

Finally got our test results back! Negative phewwww Roughly took about 40 hours to get our results back. They texted it to us at 6.26am.

DS also had a violent coughing episode on Sunday which is what prompted the test but it disappeared overnight after a very long sleep

I was hoping for a similar time @babychange12 but no results yet 😩😩😩

aureliacecilia · 11/11/2020 09:09

We're 45 hours in now... I'm fed up.

larrythelizard · 11/11/2020 09:47

Just about on 48 @aureliacecilia - I have an increasingly grumpy toddler that he's not at nursery, can't go outside and I'm trying to get the bare minimum of work done!!

I can't concentrate at all and I feel so guilty we are not playing with him. I'm doing little more than monitoring my emails and replying to the most urgent.

Just reopening this thread to see if anyone in South London has tested this week and what the turn around on tests was?

larrythelizard · 11/11/2020 11:41

Same @aureliacecilia - thankfully we have a garden with a few bits in so have spent an hour or so out there instead of in front of the tv. Nap time in sight now...no sign of results still...!

aureliacecilia · 11/11/2020 19:48

Have you had any news yet @larrythelizard? We're still waiting. He is absolutely fine and it's so frustrating as he ought to be back at school. I over-reacted on Monday as he has not coughed at all since then.

aureliacecilia · 12/11/2020 11:18

Test at 12 noon on Monday and still waiting for results now. Very frustrated!

larrythelizard · 12/11/2020 12:49

Results through at 17.15 last night - negative (as expected) @aureliacecilia - think we're all thrilled DS could go to nursery this morning!

I have friends who also had tests on Monday and still waiting!

aureliacecilia · 12/11/2020 12:53

At this rate the ten day isolation period will be up before we get any results.

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 12/11/2020 12:54

Midlands. 2 people I know have been tested this week. 1 had results in 13 hours the other 48. Same test centre, same day. 48 hours was actually tested earlier than 13 hours

CarinaMarina · 12/11/2020 13:01

I sent a home test in the 5pm priority box collection last night - I'm not expecting to hear anything until tomorrow evening or Sat morning earliest (48 hrs ish), is that right? South Coast.

I'm feeling really rotten, trying to work (at home) through sweats, waves of dizziness and fatigue, and now an upset stomach. The cough is minimal but I have no sense of taste or smell.

BillyGoatsChuff · 12/11/2020 13:01

I work for NHS and they organised me a test. Had it 1pm Tuesday and still waiting..........Angry

SomnolentSekhmet · 12/11/2020 13:34

Drive through test centre in the SE. Got negative results 24hrs later which I was pleasantly surprised by. It had a steady stream of cars going through but no queues to speak of.
