Anyone else waiting for results

I took my test saturday afternoon at 1.30 but haven't heard anything. Is anyone else still waiting.

I really hope it comes through soon so DH doesn't lose pay. I've only lost my smell and feel fine otherwise

I'm shocked, my son had a test before 11am yesterday morning and I got an email at 10.13pm saying test was negative!! Hope you get your result soon

Goldistheanswer · 10/11/2020 10:39

I’m taking DC this afternoon as he has all 3 symptoms. I’m really worried as I’m meant to be shielding as well as my other DC.

Treaclepie19 · 10/11/2020 11:10

Yep! Ds had a test Saturday and his took 31 hours to come back. Negative. We were over the moon and then I lost my smell yesterday and dh today so we've both had tests this morning.

Motherofmonsters · 10/11/2020 11:12

Hope it's negative for you both and you get your results a lot quicker than me. I'm almost tempted to do another one and see if that gets here quicker.

Treaclepie19 · 10/11/2020 11:13

It does seem its either really quick or really slow doesn't it. Hope yours comes through soon!

WhoopsSomethingWentWrong · 10/11/2020 11:14

3 of the household tested yesterday at 11.30am.
Tests seem to be taking about 60-73 hours here .

Motherofmonsters · 10/11/2020 11:46

It's such a long time. Seems a bit pointless if people I've been in contact with can still mooch about while we wait.

Whereabouts are you?

We're in West Yorkshire. My DS had one yesterday at 2.30pm, we haven't heard anything yet. I just hope it comes back negative today so he can go back to nursery asap. He only has a cough, which most toddlers and kids seem to have this time of the year.

Yes, all the kids DD2 has been in contact with are still in school while we wait for results.

I'm in Cornwall!

I had a test yesterday morning 10:30am and still awaiting a result (NE England).

mightyducks · 10/11/2020 13:19

I’m still waiting, had a test 4pm Friday... frustrating! Get the feeling it’s been lost and I’m not going to hear anything

Bloody hell that is a long time. One of my friends waited 6 days once. When one of the DC had one previously it was just over 48 hours.
muminbetweentwo · 10/11/2020 13:25

I had a test yesterday half an hour before my son.

His result came at 6am this morning - negative.

My daughters tested positive at the weekend.

They're closing the local primary today.

I'm still waiting - and being annoyed by track and trace phone calls Grin

Kirigiri · 10/11/2020 13:32

Husband had a test Friday morning and still waiting :(

Motherofmonsters · 10/11/2020 13:34

Not just me then, it's ridiculous.
I've rung the helpline, they won't escalate until 5days..

Yeah he called yesterday and was told the same. He was in contact with someone wtih Covid and work won't let him back until he gets the results. Very frustrating!

He shouldn’t be in for 14 days anyway sadly. A negative test result doesn’t take away the need to isolate if you’ve been in contact with a positive case.
Kirigiri · 10/11/2020 14:12

Sorry just to explain, it was a distanced and short contact with masks. He has no symptoms but works for a Uni so they're being extra cautious. We're also in Liverpool which is why he can be tested with no symptoms

Goldistheanswer · 10/11/2020 16:35

DC took the test today but the stick which you need to place into the tube was bent, they’re seemed to be a faulty lid that you needed to push the stick into. End result, the stick was bent and I asked the official who said don’t worry. It was only at home that e saw in the booklet that the stick cannot be bent! Not sure if this will affect the test result but the tube/lid was definitely faulty. Doesn’t instill much confidence!

LadyWithLapdog · 10/11/2020 16:38

Still waiting 2.5 days later.

Kirigiri · 10/11/2020 21:01

Finally come through as negative after almost 5 days

WhoopsSomethingWentWrong · 10/11/2020 21:04

Ours all came through as negative... took 29 hours in total so not too bad!

Motherofmonsters · 11/11/2020 06:11

Finally came through at 11pm, Positive! So we're all shut in
