Low sats and covid

Does anyone know what level of low sats in covid requires assessment? My partner has covid. I have the same symptoms (my first test was negative, awaiting 2nd test result). So I'm going to assume I do have covid.
I've been keeping an eye on my sats. I'm asthmatic. Day 4 of symptoms. Sats 97% initially, which is normal for me. I'm aware of normal parameters etc, but in covid at what level should it be a concern? Mine have been 91-94% this morning. Yestersay they were 94-95%.

I'm awaiting a GP call back to discuss. I've used my inhalers. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light.

94 or under requires medical attention, if you don't hear back from your GP soon then call 111. If it falls below 90 then call 999.

Agree with @QueenStromba. Hope you get well soon.

How are you doing?

GP wasn't bothered. Said on their own with no breathlessness or any other concerns (temp etc) then no concerns. Didn't seem impressed I'd checked them tbh.

Feeling rather small now. 🤷‍♀️

That's fucking appalling. Get a new GP and ring 111.

MRex · 09/11/2020 13:36

What are the sats now? Agree you should call 111 if they're still below 95.

Well done on checking it - why don’t the GPs want us to look after ourselves - do you have an asthma nurse - ring 111 for advice

Kitcat122 · 09/11/2020 14:24

The problem with Covid is people can have low oxygenation without realising, like altitude. If still low contact 111.

Florencemattell · 09/11/2020 14:25

My husband had low sats in the spring when his Asthma flared up.
GP sounds rubbish to be honest. It may or may not be Covid but your Asthma is not good. Can you talk to the Asthma nurse they are often more knowledgeable.

1starwars2 · 09/11/2020 14:29

I asked this question to asthma nurse. She said 92-95, would be not a cause for concern for me. But under 90 would.
Are you wheezy/struggling? I think that would be a good indication for me I might need steroids.

Mumtumwobble · 09/11/2020 15:02

When my mum had Covid recently the go said to call 111 or an ambulance if it was 94 or lower, but they did say to walk around a bit and take some deep breaths to see if it comes back up. I think you should call 111 for advice.

How are you doing now?
