Did you send children to school when isolating

2 of my pupils are awaiting test results. I'm getting prepared in case have to isolate. If you have been or were in this position (I have no symptoms) would you send your children to school ? I know I can but did you/would you? Seems a risk of spreading it.

It hasn’t come up but I def would, they can take themselves so drop off pick up not a problem.

The advice is the person who has been in contact with the virus needs to isolate and everyone else can continue as normal. If the isolating person develops symptoms, then the rest of the household then isolate.

So yes, when forced into isolation, my children went to school.

Do you mean its only you needs to isolate as being a contact not your whole family?
I've not been in this position but if someone else could do the school runs for the youngest then yes they'd be going to school in the same way me and DH would leave the house to work/shop if one of the DC needed to isolate

Ok thanks. Maybe I'm over thinking, just seems a risk to others to send them in. Yes I know the advice just interested in what people actually did.

Surely though, if it's the children who have been tested and are waiting for their results, they need to be at home until results come in.

What are you meant to do as a single parent isolating with kids? Who is going to walk them to school and stand and wait to pick them up at home time .

Yep. Also I've done this other way round, child has needed to isolate and I've gone into work.
