A friend has asked to drop a present and card round for my son this weekend as it’s his birthday. I think under lockdown rules she isn’t allowed. Is that correct?

She just isn't allowed in your home. Drop offs are completely fine.

If she leaves it on your doorstep it’s fine.

It's fine.

Presumably it isn't a 300 mile round trip or something. If the postman or amazon delivery man can drop something off at your house, it's no more risky for a friend to do so and it isnt against the legislation. In fact, you could go out for a walk with your friend too as long as it's just the two of you.
