It's probably been done to death but I'm too tired to look.

I have a temperature of 38.1, I cannot stop shivering and my body aches from head to toe. I don't normally get ill and I have a heavy feeling on my chest which I know is classic covid. I have a test booked tomorrow.

Also have a heavy feeling on my chest but a bloated stomach and feel sick too which makes me think it may be gastrointestinal?

My first symptom was aching body with muscle pain, even muscle pain in my fingers. Then headache and a metallic taste in my mouth. All lasted for around 24 hours and then disappeared

Porcupineinwaiting · 06/11/2020 18:21

Loss of appetite, chills and diarrhoea. Cough came day 6.Never spiked a temperature.

MrsBennetsnerves · 06/11/2020 18:35

Chills and sore throat for a couple of days. Then fever, headache, aches. I also had nausea and vomiting a few days later followed by cough/shortness of breath/tight chest. There are a wide range of symptoms and they don't occur in all people, or in the same order.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 06/11/2020 18:36

I felt very odd for a couple of days. No temperature but just “off”. Then suddenly a cough and fever within an hour or two of each other.

Kitcat122 · 06/11/2020 18:40

Fever, aching, freezing cold. Diarrhoea and generally feeling crap.

bunintheoven88 · 06/11/2020 18:42

Lower back pain and chills was how mine started, the chills went after a day or so, now I'm just really tired and as a previous poster put it, generally feel 'off'.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 06/11/2020 18:45

I had none. It went on to have a positive anybody test

sherryshelidan · 06/11/2020 18:48

Aching, tiredness and slight headache. Awful aching legs in the following week.

DontBendYourAccrylicNail · 06/11/2020 19:33

Weirdly I woke up with a normal temperature this morning but I very rarely get a fever and it got up to 38.3 last night.

I am no longer aching in my legs/back but have been tested today so awaiting the results.

With covid do you have a consistently high temperature?

OP posts:
Porcupineinwaiting · 06/11/2020 19:36

A friend of mine ran a high temperature for 10 days straight. I didnt run one at all. Some people find that their symptoms come and go. Others get a brief temperature then onto something else or nothing much at all. All this is "normal " with COVID.

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 06/11/2020 19:49

Fluey ache in my right arm. It was so unexplained that I had a suspicion it was covid from just that. Went on to have all the classic symptoms, mildly, but the ache which went on to cover my whole body was the worst part.

I’ve been advising people to keep lots of paracetamol at home.

KitKatastrophe · 06/11/2020 22:30

It's so weird that covid affects people so differently. I dont just mean the severity, but which symptoms, in which order and for how long. Most diseases tend to follow the same pattern in each person, even if the time scales vary.

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 06/11/2020 23:27

Yes I agree, maybe the scientists will find out why. Also why some people aren’t fully recovering but getting a type of post viral syndrome.

I reckon it’ll lead to faster advances in immune system research, I find it really interesting.

incognitomum · 07/11/2020 06:23

Did any of you lose your sense of smell? I tested yesterday as feel I'll and smell has gone.

incognitomum · 07/11/2020 06:24

Ill *

Crakeandoryx · 07/11/2020 06:31

Headache and sore throat, then tight chest. The aches came 24 hours later.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/11/2020 06:37

Headache. Then got chest tightness and cough about 6 days later. No temperature at all. Taste only affected if drinking tea. And no loss of smell. Fortunately I did a random
Test at work that picked it up.

Fairyrainbow · 07/11/2020 08:24

Had a bit of a headache, ache in the eyes and body felt achey. Thursday things didn't taste quite right, yesterday lost sense of smell can still taste albeit taste buds dampened. Tested yesterday, positive result today.

PrivateD00r · 07/11/2020 08:39

My initial symptoms were identical to yours op Flowers

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 07/11/2020 09:02

I had a headache to beat all headaches and spent the day in bed in agony. Next day started coughing, three days later no taste and smell. Then ached for weeks.

incognitomum · 07/11/2020 11:55

Got my positive result today as expected.

RubyTrees · 07/11/2020 16:41

@Muchtoomuchtodo

I had none. It went on to have a positive anybody test
@Muchtoomuchtodo, what made you get a test if you had no symptoms?
Muchtoomuchtodo · 07/11/2020 17:31

@RubyTrees antibody tests were offered to us at work. I was very surprised when mine came back positive even though I had been working with covid positive patients as I hadn’t been unwell. Nobody else at home has been unwell either.

Starrr123 · 06/01/2021 14:00

@FedUpAtHomeTroels yiu said aching for weeks?
