Hi, can anyone help? We’re having a really hard time trying to persuade my husband’s employer (he’s a teacher) to let him self isolate.
One of the children in our DDs swimming class (she’s 3) tested positive for COVID. My husband was in the pool with her. We’ve had a message from the swimming teacher saying that test and trace have been in touch and told her to advise that the whole class plus parents should self isolate.
My husband’s school are saying that because he hasn’t been contacted directly by test and trace then he shouldn’t have to and must go into work.
We just feel this is so irresponsible and putting others unnecessarily at risk. My husband’s school has already had several members of staff unwell with it.
Does anyone know whether we should have been contacted directly by track and trace instead of via the swimming teacher? It seems like a technicality the headteacher has picked up on to try and make him go to work.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
