What would you report...?

Just curious as I know feelings ran high about reporting back in the spring... would you report someone having a regular visitor to their house through lockdown?
I have a valid reason to visit, however that wouldn’t be obvious to people, just wondering whether I could be reported anyway as I’m feeling slightly uneasy about that...!

One person?
No I wouldn't report

37weekswithno2 · 05/11/2020 20:39

I wouldn't report anyone for anything that I wouldn't have before the pandemic.

A neighbour having a visitor, none of my business (probably wouldn't notice)

A neighbour having a noisy party til all hours and keeping us awake would report as I'm very noise intolerant Grin

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 05/11/2020 20:40

I agree with @37weekswithno2

SufferingFromLongLockdown · 05/11/2020 20:40

I wouldn't report anyone.
I've got no idea what my neighbours are doing, but I would assume any visitors had reasons to be there.

wendz86 · 05/11/2020 20:44

No I would assume that was their bubble .

Chewbecca · 05/11/2020 20:44

I wouldn’t report, I would assume there was a valid reason for the visit.

ChristmasinJune · 05/11/2020 20:52

I'd only report a massive party, probably wouldn't actually notice otherwise. I've no idea who should and shouldn't be in people's houses.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/11/2020 20:54

No I wouldn’t.

Poppyappeal · 05/11/2020 20:56

I wouldn't, doubt I'd even notice tbh

Wolfiefan · 05/11/2020 20:56

I’m with 37.
A friend (pre 2nd lockdown) hugged someone in front of me and then explained they were in a bubble etc. None of my business. As if I would report two close friends hugging. Who to exactly??
But a bloody great noisy drunken party? Yep!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/11/2020 20:58

I wouldn't report anything.

MoirasRoses · 05/11/2020 21:10

I’m with all the above. Pretty much nothing bar a noisy party. & that’s cos of the noise. My neighbours broke the rules all over the place in lockdown one. Not my business.

harridan50 · 05/11/2020 21:11

NO have we all lost our minds

WhiteChocTwix · 05/11/2020 21:13

My DM is scared we'll get reported if she comes to help me clear my garden so she won't come over. DF is in a care home so she's on her own. Sad

Crakeandoryx · 05/11/2020 21:17

I'd not report unless it's a massive house party, noisy, snogging, drinking etc. Or continual different visitors day in day out otherwise no I'd not because you have support bubbles, childcare bubbles, there's no way of telling who is vulnerable and who isn't.

chunkyrun · 05/11/2020 21:40

Nope

dollychopss · 05/11/2020 22:05

I will not being reporting anybody sick of it

SidneyCasing · 05/11/2020 22:11

If you have a valid reason to visit then it doesn't matter if the whole street reports you.

DownWhichOfLate · 05/11/2020 22:33

Do people actually report lone visitors? That’s terrible!

SirVixofVixHall · 05/11/2020 22:36

I wouldn’t report a regular single visitor, I would assume they had a valid reason to be there.
I possibly would think of reporting people totally taking the micky, eg a party .

AIMD · 05/11/2020 22:41

If maybe report a massive party but I can’t be bothered by the odd person coming and going when I am unlikely to know if it was valid or not.

I Went round my parents tonight. They are due to move to a bungalow in the coming month or so and we need to clear out there house to prepare for it. Not sure if that’s justified or a valid reason, but it needs to be done and they need help with it. So?! Anyway I dunno what people would think about me going there....I’m hoping they’d mind their own business rather than report it.

Northernsoulgirl45 · 05/11/2020 23:00

Wouldn't report unless mass gathering. Like hundreds of people.

jessstan1 · 05/11/2020 23:03

No, never, ever in a million years. However the chances are I wouldn't notice anyway.

beachdays123 · 05/11/2020 23:06

Thanks everyone, good to know common sense still prevails! @SidneyCasing I agree with you, my situation is a support bubble so perfectly legal, however I was curious to ask and see what assumptions people would make, I know I’m legal but wondered whether I should likely expect the police knocking on my door because people will assume I’m a flagrant rule breacher ...

I would never report one person you don’t know who needs caring for .
