Have self isolating times changed

Are the self isolating times still the same? We are awaiting the results of my daughter's Covid test and my husband said she only needs to isolate for 7 days and the rest of us for 10 days but I thought it was 10 days for her and 14 days for the rest of us.
Have the isolating times changed?

They were talking about it being a possibility, but no they are still 10/14 days

Where has he got that from?

SingANewSongChickenTikka · 05/11/2020 18:26

No, there was speculation recently that they might be changed, but assuming you’re in the UK they haven’t changed so far.

There was talk about if you have been in contact with someone who tested positive being cut to 7 days instead of 14 but not happened yet.

Okay thanks. Yes we're in the UK. I guess he must have thought it had come in rather than it just being talked about.
Keeping my fingers crossed the test comes, back negative.

10 days for someone who's received a positive test. 14 for family members/close contacts.
