If you work in a school, are you expected to go in, even if you can work from home?

If you're support staff how can you work from home?

midnightstar66 · 04/11/2020 23:09

Do you mean admin? I guess a tiny amount of that could be done from home - very little though. Most schools support work directly with or for the dc in the setting

Yes back office and vulnerable and can't understand why this time it's different! Wfh all through last lockdown and was much more productive. I appreciate school was running at 25% pupils but still can do my role entirely from home.

We have a mixture of support staff working from home and in as we are trying to restrict who would need to self isolate. Unfortunately we now seem to have an outbreak of covid. Not sure how the school will function if most of the support staff are off?

I can work fully from home in my role. I work in a 'stand alone' admin role. I wfh during the first lockdown with no pupils there. I guess that's the difference, management want business as usual. I have to use public transport to get in/out, which is a concern.

Work 4.5 hours a day in a front office role. Working 1.5 hrs a home and 3 hours at work to keep separate office bubbles....on.paper rather than reality.
