NHS Covid App no alert

I had a shock this evening as I was browsing through my phone and the NHS Covid App, and its is telling me to self isolate for 5 days. It is the 1st I've known about this, no alert, email, phone call, nothing.

I presume it should have told me 9 days ago when I would have been told to self isolate for 14 days.

Why was I not told?
I have not been anywhere except work in a swimming pool twice (total 4 hours) the supermarket, hairdressers once, seeing elderly mum. I certainly haven't been within 2m of anyone outside my bubble for 15 mins, which is the criteria which triggers the alert.

I am baffled. Should I be worried?? I am obviously going to self isolate for the remaining 5 days.

Could be that the test was late getting returned and that by the time it was input quite a few days had passed. You isolate 14 days from start of symptoms so if they had symptoms for a couple of days and test took ages then that accounts for a few more days

Thank you, yes I think you are right, but no idea when my app started to show that I needed to self isolate as had no notification! If I go back 14 days I was at Chessington WOA but was never within 2m of anyone, always outside. My friend who was with me all day hasn't had it on her NHS app??
