I am slightly concerned. I know ventilation is a must and they have windows and doors open but I didnt expect my DD Yr1 to have been given a second jumper to put on because she was so cold her lips were purple. It actually makes me feel quite sad. Ive had a massive panic tonight about buying new clothes but I am working all day tomorrow and cant get anymore and delivery/ click and collect isnt until 13th nov!
I have spoken to other parents who say their children are hardy and would still wear shorts but my just turned 6 year old weighs 15kg and is tiny!

OP, I just wanted to say that my dd is on growth hormone and had every test under the sun because of her weight. She was actually heavier than your dd age 6 (or roughly the same). That would put her well below the 0.4th centile on the growth charts. My dd is also very well fed and they actually can't find anything 'wrong' with her. But since she's been on GH she is much more energy, able to regulate her body temp and a much bigger appetite. I don't think people were having a go regarding her weight or insinuating she is underfed. But actually, from experience with my own dd, her weight is something that doctors would investigate Flowers.

But I stand by the other pp who said that you must have been living under a rock the last 2 months not to know it is freezing in schools.

I help advocate for adult in growth hormone.

If you ever want a chat! I know a good dr who is the world leading expert in children on growth hormone.

Our school suspended uniform over the summer term for the children that could go in. Why can't they make uniform optional now so that children can dress to their comfort level.

DS1 is still happy in his usual shorts and t-shirt, and normally would be all winter. He likes PE day so he can wear his fluffy hoodie as he hates the texture of school uniform jumpers.

It is hard going buying clothes for lean children. It's waist or length. Even elasticated shorts have to be bought a couple of years younger so I can yoink the elastic in enough to stay up. He's in age appropriate t-shirts for length, but the slim fits are still loose.

Decathlon cut quite slim. They're about right for years on my two rather than having to under-size.
