Just to let people know, it's possible to book a shopping "slot" at M&S foodhalls. It may not be your normal "go to" shop, but just worth thinking about as things progress and weather turns.

How irresponsible of them. As a retailer who has an unusually large proportion of elderly customers who are less likely to use the internet and therefore unable to benefit this appears to be a way to prioritise the customers most able to wait in the cold at the expense of those who can't because they will on average spend more as they have larger families.

I get what you are saying Stat, but it's an option. I just thought I would mention it, in case it was a help for Key Workers who may need to shop at specific times. Also may be helpful for those helping/shopping for more vulnerable people.

@StatisticalSense priority shopping hours will start up again which you don't have to book.

Thanks OP that’s useful to know. My mum can’t stand in a queue so I will book her one

Thanks Light, I was hoping to help someone's family, mine aren't close, but are well loved and looked after much like yours.

Our local m and s was the only place without queues last time around and always fully stocked.
