Devolution and The Covid

Does anyone else find it wrong that last night's announcement about the new December lockdown in England was a) delivered in front of two Union flags, and b) that the decision will need to be ratified in a national parliament? So Welsh, N Irish and Scottish MPs will be voting on whether or not England goes into lockdown.

I'm largely pro devolution, and Health is a devolved issue, but I do think that the response to The Covid should be coordinated by the U.K. government and be the same throughout the U.K.

And it's about time England got its own assembly.

(I am Welsh, living in England).
