BABY GROUPS?

kittycat01 · 31/10/2020 22:11

Does anybody know if baby groups will still be going ahead? I joined one in September which is a socially distanced group and really hoping it carries on as it's my only way of chatting to other mums and my baby getting some (distanced) interaction with other babies! Thanks in advance!

BABY GROUPS?

The group I attend has said they'll likely be going ahead as it comes under the early years provider & education - guess we'll have to see once the full list is out.

www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november#weddings-civil-partnerships-religious-services-and-funerals

This govt guidance (section 4) says support groups including for new parents can continue (max 15) if they have to be held face to face, but it is unclear what counts as a new parent.

I expect the baby groups we attend will go online sadly

Can I ask what type of group this is/ age of your lo? Thanks

The provider runs age-specific groups (babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers etc), some are run outside some inside if weather is bad. We do lots of natural activities, messy play, arts, crafts etc tailored to the age group. I hope it does stay open - my DS loves it & so do I.

Some updates on happily.co.uk social media for those wanting more of an update. Essentially baby groups are a grey area and not definitely off and not definitely on - further guidance awaited
