Can single/lone people still meet inside with another household (1 from the other household) while in full lockdown ?

Yes. This was specifically said in the announcement.

dementedpixie · 31/10/2020 20:33

From BBC website

Support bubbles will still be allowed and children will be able to move homes if their parents are separated

Groundhogdayzz · 31/10/2020 20:37

Glad support bubbles can still be in place. Does anyone know if your support bubble has to be within the local area? Ideally it would be I know, but is it a rule/law?

bobisbored · 31/10/2020 20:38

@Groundhogdayzz my partner is in my support bubble. He lives 100 miles away at the moment. I'm wondering the same thing.

Changeisneeded · 31/10/2020 20:42

My mum is my support bubble and she lives about 5 hours away but as we both live alone we have been seeing each other as often as is feasible so I’m hoping that still is allowed

Looneytune253 · 31/10/2020 20:43

Yes he specifically mentioned support bubbles being ok

TheDowagerDuchessofMwwwahaha · 31/10/2020 20:46

Yes support bubbles still allowed 👍🏼

TheDowagerDuchessofMwwwahaha · 31/10/2020 20:47

I don’t think they have to be local. Last time I looked you can’t change your bubble, but mine is my parents and they aren’t local.

Actually came on here with a similar query...
we are a 2 adults one child household (very complex needs, disabilities and visual impairment /SEND).....
Would my parents be permitted to bubble with us? I cannot find any guidance online on this subject

That's complicated. No, you can't be a 'support bubble' as you have 2 adults in the house and so do your parents. But you could have a 'childcare' bubble with them, if they are providing care. I don't think you could use the childcare bubble to just spend time with them, though.

We're in the same situation. 2 of my DC have SN, and my DM is disabled. They need me to help them, but bubbles not permitted because I live with DH.

Focusanddetermination · 31/10/2020 21:04

Can you meet your support bubble people inside?

slashlover · 31/10/2020 21:14

Is the bbc website broken?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52530518
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54763956

No households mixing indoors, or in private gardens, unless in your support bubble.

doubleshotespresso · 31/10/2020 21:26

@Lougle thanks, yes I was kind of hoping this time they might have been more specific on support (or not) for SEND families. My child requires 100% supervision, so my parents coming would be "respite" which basically translates that I'm able to get bathrooms and floors cleaned, run any errands, convert homework into bigger format so it's ready that sort of thing ... but this is so grey and I don't want to get this wrong..,.
Damn this poxy government

MRex · 31/10/2020 21:34

www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november

Section 1 - people are allowed to provide care for a vulnerable person.

doubleshotespresso · 31/10/2020 21:45

Thank-you! I guess that sort of covers me what a nonsense this guidance is....
