Basically I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have no one else to ask as no one else knows yet apart from DP. I'm wondering what to do with regards to the upcoming month-long lockdown.
I work 3 days a week as a pharmacy dispenser, we have PPE and screens up but cannot keep distance from other members of staff as behind the pharmacy counter the space is small and enclosed. We have worked throughout the pandemic and none of us have had COVID (as far as we know).
I also get the bus to work and can't rely on DP to take me as he works at home for his own business and is super busy, also his money is more important than mine.
Are pregnant women generally going to work or staying at home? I don't know any so have no one to ask.
What would you do in my situation? Xxx

Go to work!! Pregnant women are not a vulnerable group. I am pregnant and front line NHS, I can continue my job until 28 weeks when current guidance states I will need to be non patient facing. Don't worry

From what I have read, a normal pregnancy does not increase your risk of having a bad reaction to CV19.

We have several pregnant teachers at work with huge classes and no masks allowed.

If you have the correct PPE and follow the rules of its use then you'll be fine.

Thanks everyone that's good to know - I'm happy to keep going to work as usual to be honest, just didn't know what others were doing as I don't know any pregnant women!

@Samjane93
Go over to the pregnancy board-there are lots of pregnant people to ask there!
Samjane93 · 31/10/2020 17:00
@Redlocks30 I was gonna post there but thought it would be better to post here. Sorry
Redlocks30 · 31/10/2020 17:03
No need to apologise-I didn’t know if you knew there was a separate board .

8 weeks pregnant here and yes we are not in a vulnerable group as far as I know :) congratulations.
I have a four year old so I worry she will bring it home from school but will continue to send her all while I can

I'm relieved - I only work 3 days a week and don't know what I'd do if I had to be at home all the time
