Problems with the NHS app

Hi, I had 2 messages from the 'NHS' app this morning, but when I clicked to read further, they disappeared and took me to the general 'venue check in' page

I've looked and looked for them, but can't find them anywhere

All I know is that one began 'you may have been near somebody' and the second began 'Don't worry'

From this, I'm assuming the person I may have 'been near' is my nephew, who is self-isolating but without symptoms - I went round yesterday evening to drop off a bag of books and activities for him, since he is having such a boring half term Said hi and chatted from a safe distance

Is this likely to be it, do you think And how on earth can I find the messages to make sure

And why are the people behind this useless mess being paid so much for it (you don't have to answer that)

(NB when I say I 'went round', I dropped the bag on the doorstep and chatted from the steps in the garden)

I think if you google, those messages are a known error. I have them every time i turn my bluetooth back on

Ah, this did happen after I'd turned bluetooth on and off, so I expect that's it - thanks

I can go out today after all

If there’s nothing in the app you do need to worry. It means the app communicated with a phone that has since reported a positive, but the contact has been assessed and doesn’t constitute a close contact.
There’s been a fair amount of press about them as they are causing alarm, but the basic message is if there’s nothing in the app (I.e. and instruction to isolate and a countdown) you can carry on as normal.

I had one of these the other day too, couldn't find a copy of the message anywhere and eventually decided to google it as I didn't know the full content of the messages. Frightened me a bit to start with, but I concluded that it was something and nothing and no action was needed.
