Are you isolating within your home?

If you have symptoms or a positive test, are you isolating from others in your home?

I have symptoms awaiting test results so am pretty much holed up in my bed room using a mask and sanitizer if I need to leave, separate toilet etc etc

I was discussing it with my friend and she said she wouldn't bother since you can catch it off surfaces and stuff so whilst her and her son would isolate from the outside world, they wouldn't isolate from each other as it's so contagious it's pointless.

Am I massively overthinking this? Is everyone else just going one down, all down?

I have it and haven’t isolated from rest of the house. My symptoms have been very mild and as the oldest, fattest and the one with asthma I’d say I’m the most at risk!

I have a friend who isolated completely in a spare room as there is a vulnerable family member. I guess you just have to do what you feel comfortable with for your own family.

Currently await results for my 6 year old DD. She can’t isolate obviously so my DH is sort of isolating away from us. Better one of us go down with it than both!

I had Covid about a month ago. Neither of my DC caught it, nor did DH - and we live in a two bed, one bathroom flat! So it’s not inevitable that you’ll pass it on. Isolated as best I could - stayed in our bedroom watching Netflix 90% of the time, but I came out and cooked / cleaned etc when theY were all out.in France so only 7 days isolation, it was doable. I had it mild, no fever or coughing, so pribably less contagious
