He's just tested positive. People have recently been surprised at how lax he was at following distancing and other guidelines in public, let alone however he was behind closed doors.

Can you imagine if this was Hancock - lots of cries of "incompetent Tories / incompetent government / shitshow government / only in this country" etc etc.

Turns out there are incompetents in every country / government... we just know more about ours.

Hasn't Hancock already had it? I'm confused

JacobReesMogadishu · 23/10/2020 11:24

Yep Hancock had it when Boris had it.

Rainbowllama4 · 23/10/2020 11:24

It’s not only negligent people who catch Covid also I think Matt Hancock has already had it?
I am very careful and am following all the rules but have resigned myself to catching it at some point because I have a child at school.
Bar staying indoors, not going out, shopping delivered etc everybody is at some risk of catching it.

JacobReesMogadishu · 23/10/2020 11:25

And Boris was lax about social distancing, etc.

MJMG2015 · 23/10/2020 11:25

Poor bloke. Hope he comes through it ok.

At some stage politicians are going to have to realise that SD means them too!

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 11:26

Hancock has already had it. Epic fail there OP.

Unfortunately some people are very careful and still catch the virus. No one is infallible.

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 11:27

Isn't it sad that we're not calling anyone who catches the virus incompetent? Who has given you this impression OP?

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 11:28

*now

MaxNormal · 23/10/2020 11:29

I don't have to imagine if it was Hancock seeing as he's already had it Grin

OrangeLeavesYellowLeaves · 23/10/2020 11:39

One way of looking at it is he will be contributing to overall immunity levels when recovered. (No good crying over spilt milk.) Given his age of 40 his chances of doing so are excellent.

D'oh to me Grin
