Antibody test

I know that I’m probably being massively unreasonable, but I think I had COVID-19 at the end of last October. I had the weirdest of symptoms and felt terrible for several months.

A few weeks ago, I took an antibodies test. If the reading was one or over, it would have been a positive result. It was 0.8. I have emailed the company asking if this means I have had Covid or not - no response.

Does anyone know what it means?

There was a thread here discussing antibodies & it seems that, even if people had had confirmed Covid and tested positive for antibodies, the antibodies don’t last. Was it a finger prick test or full blood test?

I think it's been proven that the virus hadn't reached humans by last October so whatever it means you didn't have it then.

I would be really interested in seeing the evidence that it wasn’t here in October. I’m not at all a dramatic sort of person, but I was so ill with cold like symptoms, but also thought I might be building up to a heart attack. I suffered from a highly raised heart rate for several months.

Thank you Idoknow - I. kniw that antibodies can fade pretty quickly. What I would really like to know is what something less than one means - something more than zero.

I agree with a pp. I was really poorly at the end of November last year and when all this covid stuff came out, a part of me thought I may have had it. But it has been said it wasn't here then. So I think it was just a very bad cold.
I'll be honest, it is the worst I've ever felt though!
