I live in West Yorkshire and looks as though we’re staying in tier 2 as of now. Our rates are apparently dropping.
I’m constantly on twitter checking up.
Is anyone else struggling mentally with the almost daily changes to our situation? We’ve been in some kind of restrictions since July!

Please don’t flame me for mentioning it and I know they are scaremongers at the best of times and often blow things up or under report etc but Daily Mail reporting councillors for WY have said it’s ‘now inevitable‘ we will be locked down and the announcement will come ‘very soon’ quoted directly from an Huddersfield MP.

Here we go again let’s hope it’s over quickly this time. Flowers

Gordonbennit · 27/10/2020 18:38

Thanks for the link N0rthern Iv never heard of WYCA before. Gonna go have a nosey on their website now!

MoirasRoses · 27/10/2020 22:19

I doubt it’ll be over quickly. The govmt don’t give a shit about the north. Tier 3/4 be here until next Spring Angry Say goodbye to economy.

I’ve seen that Kirklees are fighting it and want to stay in T2 even if everywhere else gets put into T3.

I just hope I can still go to my hairdresser appointment on Saturday 🤞🏻

It's 388/100k so I think tier 3 is inevitable

Even if we go into tier three hairdressers haven’t been closed elsewhere have they?
KatyaZamolodchikova · 28/10/2020 20:05

Oh I’m an idiot, I’m getting confused with Wales’ no non-essentials rule I think. So confusing.

N0rthern · 28/10/2020 22:06

I’m on some kind of grim numbers watch.... they’re still discussing tier 3 with government apparently

We're in lockdown from Monday

I'm also in Kirklees. Guess it was inevitable really, I hope everyone in West Yorkshire stays safe.

N0rthern · 29/10/2020 21:09

Wonder how long it’ll last... renewal time is 28 days apparently

MereDintofPandiculation · 29/10/2020 22:26

Wonder how long it’ll last... renewal time is 28 days apparently That means the second review is 21 Dec.

It's the not meeting in gardens that gets to me. It's a lot easier to stay comfortable in your own space.

No doubt the less sensible ones will be out on the town tomorrow and Saturday night because they can. I think lockdowns should start before the weekend to prevent this.

WitchesSpelleas · 30/10/2020 07:46

Woke up to the news that West Yorkshire will be the latest county to be ignoring Tier 3 restrictions.

I agree with the pp - it will be madness in town over the weekend.

Cleanmean · 30/10/2020 07:50

It's confusing to know what tier 3 means exactly. The rules state you shouldn't travel outside of your locality, we have a voluntary rota for work and I travel into the next city. Will this still be allowed or should I just wfh? What are others doing?

ThomasHardyPerennial · 30/10/2020 09:31

I think it is advised not to travel in/out of tier 3 areas for leisure purposes, but still ok for work. Happy to be corrected though!
